For years, Beats headphones have been helping athletes, musicians and music lovers prepare for events and moments both big and small. This film brings that concept to life. Starting close to home in The Bay, the campaign’s first spot features Golden State Warriors’ forward Draymond Green as he prepares for the NBA Western Conference Finals.

The Beats by Dre spot opens up with Draymond Green getting ready for his next game with a beautiful view of the Golden Gate Bridge. To begin his preparations, Green pulls up the hyphy anthem on his phone and presses play as the visuals go to black and white. E-40 pops up in the video alongside Green as the Warriors star makes his moves through the city before getting to the arena where the color returns to the screen.

The film features cameos by Draymond Green’s Warriors teammates Shaun Livingston, Ian Clark and Brandon Rush as all of them are seen wearing shirts with “The Bay” across their chests. Former NBA players Gary Payton and Brian Shaw, who both grew up in Oakland, also make brief appearances along the way.

Our ad gave new life to E-40’s “Tell Me When to Go”. In a behind-the-scenes clip of the campaign shoot, Draymond explains what “b”-ing ready means to him, saying, “Not only ‘b [Ready]’ for the game but to ‘b [Ready]’ to bring whatever it is to my team to win…On game days, I do the same thing: I got a playlist that I listen to. It tunes everything else out and it just takes me where I need to go mentally.”
