This is not a well known fact but you’re about to get the inside scoop. The Afro Ninja viral film originated from a casting session we had for our Nike Chamber of Fear commercial for Lebron James. At the moment I witnessed this accident, there was nothing but immediate concern for the safety of the talent. He actually was so embarrassed that he asked if he could try the back-flip again. The second attempt was perfect and there was no way we were not going to use him and he got the role. This clip became one of the first viral Internet sensations (this happened pre-YouTube) making our talent Internet immortal and turning the mishap into a career opportunity.
